Brstanovica & Durmitor Ring
In front of you is one day combined excursion viewing
interlaced contrasts leading from highmountain peaks of
Durmitor over dociles pastures of mountain Piva mountain to
turquoisewaters of Pivsko lake and deep canyons of rivers
Tara and Piva.
Rafting is being performed within the 18 km long part of
river Tara between “Brstanovica” and “Scepan Polje” where
rivers Tara and Piva joint their waters creating river
Drina.
You will feel wildness of some twenty falls along the
most attractive part of Tara, and freshness of bathing in
cold water of green whirpools. You may make unforgetable
photos and above all feel new warmth of gathering together
inside nature.
After rafting is over, you will enjoy in fabulous views
from bridges on rivers Piva and Piva lake with famous 220 m
high dam Mratinje having been for the long time the highest
dam in the world.
You will enjoy national speciaties and hospitality of
local people of Piva Mountain and Durmitor…
Excursion starts from Kolasin Mojkovac or Zabljak in
early morning hours. Return is about 9 o’clock in the
evening. Excursion participants are expected to bring with
them adequate clothes counting on temperatures amplitude
from 5 C to 35 C, head hat or cap and protection cream
against strong sun rays.
Tracking on Durmitor
Do not miss a chance to peep into hiden nooks of Durmitor
and mountain Piva, to see widely known but hard to be seen
glacier lakes Skrcka Lakes and to conquer some of the
highest Montenegrin moountain peaks and have a vacation you
will long remember.
This arrangement begin in one of the remotest villages in
Montenegro called Mala Crna Gora where saddled horses are
awaiting. After loading equipment onto saddles and horses,
we will slowly start going up towards peaks of Durmitor.
Stays overnight will be under tents, meals are prepared
together in the very nature, bivuic fires and sounds of
moountain are waiting for you and us. And with a little bit
of luck you will have a chance to make a photos of rare
animal species like chamois or an mountain eagle.
Having in mind that our sojourn will take three days and
two nights we suggest participants to take warm clothes with
them for the temperature amplitude from 5C to 35 C and also
solid shoes adjusted to walking over mountains. Lengths to
be walked along are about 25 kilometres. Don’t forget
cameras.
